Birrificio della Granda
Birrificio della Granda
Piedmont, Italy
Birrificio della Granda is a craft brewery in Piedmont, Northern Italy. Granda has the unique and wonderful distinction of growing nearly all their own ingredients - owner Ivano Astesana describes their work as farming in addition to brewing. As
expected, the quality and freshness of raw materials becomes revelatory for what’s in the glass.
Although the brewery is small, their equipment is impressive and high-tech. Beer is akin to baking in the sense that ingredient quality, equipment, consistency and process are key.
Indeed, they have control over every facet of production and have ingredients of distinction, which set the inherent quality of any beer. They also do not microfilter or pasteurize or work with
any other additives or stabilizers - common practices that alter beer negatively. Vine Farmer imports these beers in can because it is truly airtight - cans also fully protect from light damage. With delicate beer like this, the beer is also imported with the same temp control
used for wine, as it is also imported unpasteurized! Nothing has been changed from what is available in the Italian market. These are proper, classy beers of very high quality!

Kloe
Helles
Golden Lager
Helles style Lager that that stays very true to the original Bavarian recipe. Along with Pilsner, Helles is considered a true "purists" beer. Where Pilsner is more hop forward, Helles is more malt forward and substantial, yet remains very refreshing and drinkable when done the right way, as this beer is.
Flooke
Bock
Amber Lager
An amber Lager with big, rich chocolate and coffee notes, despite remaining light and snappy on the palate.
Kei-Os
IPA
Golden IPA/APA
An IPA on the lower alcohol end of the range, coming in at 5%. Although this is 40 on the IBU scale (bitterness), Kei Os leaves no bitter finish and is very bright, refreshing, and drinkable. This is only Cascade hops, with some dry hops.
