IZARRA was founded in 1906 in the Basque Country in Hendaye by pharmacist Joseph Grattau. Izarra means “star” in Basque.

Relaunched in the 21st century following a few decades of rest.

2018 distribution of the brand IZARRA was entrusted to the group Pagès Védrenne.

The distillation of IZARRA is now back to Nouvelle Aquitaine, closed to its roots.
