This month we're welcoming several new wines from Domaine Mămărutá! Marc Castan founded Domaine Mămărutá in 2009. Based in Fitou, he has two sites in La Palme and on the Leucate cliffs, which he has converted to organic (and is on his way to biodynamic certification).
Among our new arrivals are Un Grain de Folie, a rosé made from 90% Syrah and 10% Macabeau, and Kezako, a light and fresh red made from 100% Carignan.

"The Rosé is our first wine made of old Cinsaults and Syrah. It’s an elegant rosé with some nice freshness and a good aromatic concentration. It will be perfect for aperitif and will greatly pair with salads, grilled white meat & Asian cuisine."

Weingut Jalits Eisenberg DAC 2016: Inviting aromas of rasperries, cherries and blackberries. Good fruit on the palate and juicy with some herbs and spices. Classic Eisenberg mineral notes, elegant body and a clean finish.
Anton Bauer Rosenberg Grüner Veltliner 2016: Rosenberg is one of the best-known Grüner Veltliner vineyards in Austria. Very aromatic, full of round fruit and balanced with crisp acidity. The distinct soil lends a pleasant mineral and white pepper note typical of this varietal.
Anton Bauer Wagram Grüner Veltliner 2017: A crisp, lively Grüner Veltliner with ripe apple & pear fruit, balanced with fresh acidity and a touch of spice and citrus on the dry and lingering finish.
Anton Bauer Rosé of Zweigelt/Merlot/Syrah 2017: Clear, light pink with a stimulating fragrant floral and berry nose. Marked by elegant structure, it is round and soft on the palate with a clean, crisp finish.
Meinklang Foam Somló: A blend of 60% Harselevelü & 4o% Juhfark from 35-60 year old vines bottled with a good dose of bubbles.
Meinklang Foam Cider: 100% Topaz apples from old orchard. Unfiltered, and disgorged by hand. Pure apple aromas with a touch of classic cider sweetness.

Heinrich Hartl Pinot Noir Classic 2016: A gentle vanilla note wraps itself around ripe, red cherry on the nose, with a slight touch of smoky mocha. The palate combines these flavors and presents them on a juicy palate held firm by a fine mesh of tannins. This has bite and ample freshness.
Steindorfer Blaufrankisch Kaiserberg 2015: Vinification in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks at about 30 °C and aged afterwards for 10 months in used barrique. Deep black berry fruit and soft tannins balance beautiful black pepper spices. The finish is very long, smooth and silky with lingering notes of spice and fruit.
Steindorfer Pinot Gris Fuchsloch 2017: Aged in 80% steel and 20% large barrels (500L). Beautiful aromas of stone fruits and a touch of smoke leading to a full palate with clean minerality. Some tropical notes and a long crisp, but full finish.
