WINE BROS

A new Blanc and a new Rouge Mag!

September 22, 2023  /  WineBros

Château St. Jacques d'Albas
 France

Situated in the Minervois, a seductive region in the west of France’s Languedoc, tucked in between the medieval city of Carcassonne, the Black Mountains and the Canal du Midi, the family-owned Château St Jacques d’Albas benefits from a wealth of natural advantages to produce impressive wines.

Over 60 hectares of forest and garrigue, teaming with wildlife, and an 11th century chapel, protect the 26 hectares of organic vines. Our philosophy from the beginning has been to limit yields and take an organic approach to managing the soil and the vines.

2020
Domaine St. Jacques d'Albas
La Chapelle Blanc

100% Viognier

A limited edition production of 100% Viognier, the oak fermentation and ageing gives our La Chapelle white added richness and complexity. The result is an elegant and full-bodied wine with refreshing layers of apricot and white peach. A superb wine for special moments.

2019

Château St. Jacques d'Albas
AOC Minervois
Rouge

95% Syrah, 5% Grenache

Our "La Chapelle" is a limited edition Minervois from our oldest Syrah vines, blended with a hint of Grenache. Named after the 11th Century Chapel that overlooks the vineyard, it is an expressive wine that will stand the test of time.

Aged in oak for 18 months to offer a rich and complex bouquet of black fruits, leather, tobacco and spices.

After ageing in oak barrels, the wine is bottled and kept another 2 years in cellar before being released to our customers.

A long living wine for special occasions.

Maguey Melate
Oaxaca, Mexico

Maguey me late (muh-gay may lah-tay) literally translates to “agave makes my heart beat” –  it represents our love for this spirit, tradition, and region.
Our mission is to preserve and promote traditional agave spirit production methods, culture, and family owned palenques in a value-packed way that serves as an opposing force to the faster-cheaper economy.

A uniquely floral and somewhat fruity Cuixe which still incorporates traditional Cuixe green notes.

An eleven year old mezcal! Complex and yet mellow with age, each person that tastes it picks out different notes on their palate.

Jaime Reyes Morales

How is the 59%ABV??? We don't know but this mezcal has sweet, caramel fruit notes with a smooth finish.

German Manzano Martínez
Jabali

Sweet and sour zesty mezcal, with a slight natural cloudiness and color. A real highlight for agave nerds everywhere.

This package includes a virtual tour through our mezcaleros’ palenques, where you can observe the traditional process of making agave spirits (11-minute video), meet the mezcaleros (10-minute video), and join our street tasting through Oaxaca (6-minute video) by letting us all know which was your favorite in the review plugin! Your access to our restricted signature palenque tour is further complete with an extensive photo gallery, drone videos and extra footage, individual bottles for re-order, post questions for the mezcaleros to answer, and more!

Just about every last component of this package was locally sourced from Oaxaca, Mexico and made by local artisans and small businesses that keep this culture so rich and artisanal. Starting with the beautiful pine box itself, complete with an agave rope handle for easy transportation, you will be adding a piece of art to your home. There are four hand-made gift sets accompanying your experience to really highlight the artisanal culture of Oaxaca, complete with a limited edition screen print that would look great framed in your bar. Every new batch of 200 boxes, we create a new limited edition design from a rotation of Oaxacan artisans so you never know what you are going to get.

Last but not least, we searched this region high and low to bring you three of our all-time favorite agave spirits that will take you through a large spectrum of process variations, agaves, ecosystems, and mezcaleros. It wouldn’t be right to put these fine spirits in a normal industrial bottle, so we packaged them in three 375 mL 100% recycled glass artisanal bottles wrapped with an agave fiber label and beautifully handpainted corks.

New Bordeaux!

September 11, 2023  /  WineBros

Château Daviaud
Bordeaux, France

At the end of the 1960s, the Sichel Family firmly established itself in the southern part of the Côtes de Bordeaux area, by setting up the Bel Air cellar in the village of Saint-Maixant. At that time, it became the first Bordeaux wine merchant to possess its own winemaking cellar. Unceasingly striving to improve procedures, infrastructures and wines made in its cellar, the Sichel Family stepped up its presence near Langon by purchasing, in 2002, Château Argadens (40 hectares), in Saint André du Bois. At the start of 2020, the Sichel Family took control of Château DAVIAUD, a property it knew well. In fact, part of the estate figured among the “providers” for the Bel Air cellar. Since the Château had been put up for sale, there was a considerable risk of losing a partner of good quality. By buying the entire vineyard and its infrastructures, the Sichel Family consolidated its production hub and added a new property to its range.

2019
Château Daviaud
Bordeaux Rouge

45% Merlot, 21% Cabernet Franc, 19% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Malbec

The wine’s colour is strong, but not excessively so and lets us perceive a refined style, already displaying the large proportion of Cabernet Franc in the blend. The nose is expressive on notes of fruit and lots of spice; it reveals ripeness and is very fresh. On the palate, this wine is charming, with surprising fullness, smoothness and also a lot of depth.
