WINE BROS

New from Jeffrey Alpert Selections!

Domaine Aléofane
Rhône, France

Natacha is the younger sister of the eminent Yann Chave and it is clear that wine-making talent runs in the family. Beginning with a tiny, 1.3 hectare vineyard in St Joseph in 2004, in 2007 she added a small plot of old vines in Crozes Hermitage.

All her vineyard work is meticulously done by hand and everything is organic and biodynamic with sulphur use being kept to an absolute minimum and indigenous yeasts used. The wines are bottled with no fining or filtration.

These are wines that have a great sense of place and terroir. There is a slightly wild side to them that I love; they are full of character and intense, pure fruit whilst retaining a superb balance. They are also extremely good value for money.

100% Syrah

Aromas of wild herbs, leather, dark spicy fruit and earthy minerals. Ripe, mouth-filling and weighty, with deeply swirling black fruit layers. Made from a tiny parcel of 50 year old vines.

Hakurei Brewery Co.

Kyoto, Japan

Tango Yura in Miyazu City, Kyoto Prefecture, where Hakurei Sake Brewery is located, is located on a scenic sandbar sandwiched between the sea and mountains, with the Sea of Japan in front of you and Mt. Yuragatake, the Oe Mountain Range in the back. As the boatman crosses the gate of Yura, I wonder if it's the path of an unknown love that was sung in the Hyakunin Isshu. We make use of local materials that are rich in nature in our sake brewing.

Hakurei Sparkling Water

"Non-Alcoholic Sake"

Our uniquely developed "Natural Aromatherapy Method" has made it possible to effectively utilize "Natural Ginjo Fragrance", which has been overlooked until now. You can enjoy the fresh and aromatic Ginjo aroma with unprecedented freshness.

Bodegas Parra Jiménez

La Mancha, Spain

Nestled on the high-desert plateaus of La Mancha, Bodegas Parra Jiménez is renowned for its production of natural wines, crafted from a blend of native and international grape varieties grown in certified organic and sustainable vineyards. The winery is committed to producing wines that are not only pure and elegant but also structured, reflecting the unique terroir of the region.

For generations, the Parra family has been deeply rooted in the agricultural traditions of La Mancha. However, it wasn't until 1993 that they established their winery, at a time when organic viticulture was still a novel concept in the area. Undeterred by this, brothers Francisco, Javier, and Luis Parra chose to pioneer organic wine production.

Their vision was to create a biodynamic, self-sustaining ecosystem. This led them to diversify their agricultural practices, incorporating livestock rearing and the cultivation of garlic, grains, peas, and lentils, thereby completing the agricultural cycle. Today, the estate boasts Sohiscert organic and Demeter biodynamic certifications and produces not only wine but also organic garlic and Manchego cheese.

Since 2017, Pablo, Javier's son, has led the winemaking efforts at Bodegas Parra Jiménez. Under Pablo's guidance, Bodegas Parra Jiménez continues to be a beacon of biodynamic farming and winemaking in La Mancha, pushing the boundaries of traditional viticulture and enology to new heights.
