A Junmai Daiginjo made from Ebina’s estate-grown Rakufumai sake rice. One of Izumibashi’s most fragrant and sweet sakes. Well balanced flavor.

The Fableist

Templeton, California

The Fableist is a collaboration between winemakers Curt Schalchlin and Andrew Jones.

Curt, owner and vintner of the heralded winery Sans Liege, is known for his critically acclaimed Rhone varietal wines. Andrew, winemaker of Field Recordings, spends his days planning and planting vineyards and has stood foot in just about every vineyard on the Central Coast. Together, they produce The Fableist, a collaboration that gives special attention to the craft and story behind each wine.

Paso Preserve Red Blend

61% Zinfandel, 22% Petite Sirah, 8% Touriga Nacional ,5% Aglianico, 4% Merlot

Each glass encapsulates our leisurely Paso Robles wine country with the aroma of red Anjou pears, dates, star anise, and blue hyacinth flowers. As you sip, revel in notes of nutmeg, rosemary, cranberries, and dried tobacco leaves.

This red blend is a representation of what the Fableist had to offer this vintage. It is a cellar-made wine comprised of our core varieties. This wine is intended to encapsulate what we are able to bring from vintage to vintage. This wine is made with all neutral oak to embrace purity and freshness fully.
